Fluoxetine Hcl Tablets IP 20mg

It's antidepressant action seems to be due to it's capabillity to inhibit CNS neuronal uptake of serotonin. it is a potent anti depressant, not sedative.

It is used for the treatment of mild to moderate endogenos depression. It may be of use in treatment of obsessive-compulsive disorder, obesity and alcoholism.

Severe renl failure hypersensitivity, nursing mothers.

In pregnancy and lactation, patients with epliepsy and mania, patients with hepatic, cardiac and renal diseases, operating machinery driving.

Anorexia, diarrhoea, nervousness, headache and insomnia quite common and skin rashes., fatigue, tremors and sweating.

Tricyclic anti depre-ssants; reduses the breakdown of tricyclic anti depressants. change in the lithium levels

As directed by the physician Doctor.

Adult: Initially 20mg a day. Increase at 20mg/day up to a maximum 80mg/day in 2 divided doses.
